I have observed many people serving in leadership capacities over the past 36 years in the marketplace. These included insurance agency principles, insurance company executives, elected and appointed public officials, pastors and corporate officers of public and private companies. There were very few who consistently demonstrated dynamic biblical leadership characteristics or achieved transforming results. Most fell far short of expected performance. Over the next several weeks we will describe the defining characteristics of a “Dynamic Biblical Marketplace Leader. This is the first in a series of 10 specific characteristics.
STANDARDS
The Dynamic Biblical Marketplace Leader establishes and maintains high standards of personal and corporate ethical conduct. Standards are modeled from biblical principles. The standards of conduct are communicated through words and actions and never compromised for the sake of a personality or personal relationship. Dynamic Biblical Marketplace leadership always establishes and maintains standards to differentiate themselves, their family, their firm, their employees and their organization from the rest of the industry. When standards are violated at any level within the organization, reaction is swift, immediate and decisive. Compromise of any basic standard is not tolerated.
