weavers guidelines for integrated success in life and business

Weavers agree to abide by defined value system. The following guidelines cover the conduct of each member’s business dealings and marketplace ministry.

Standards: I agree to model biblical principles and standards of behavior as directed by the Holy Spirit. I agree to maintain these standards for myself, my family, my business relationships and my employees.

Integrity: I agree to honor God with my personal integrity. My word is my bond. I will exhibit integrity with my family, my friends and my business relationships. I agree to hold myself accountable to my family, my superiors, my peers, my industry and those in authority over me including local, state and federal government officials.

Prayer: I recognize the power of prayer. I agree to submit all my personal and business relationships and decisions to prayer. I will enlist the support of fellow believers to pray and intercede on my behalf and the behalf of my business and all those who are affected by my decisions.

Humility: I agree to maintain an attitude of humility before God and man. I recognize my human limitations and acknowledge my dependence on the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I will keep my ego under control by maintaining an open heart towards God. I will surround myself with others including my spouse, trusted friends and business associates who have my permission to firmly but lovingly put me in my place at any time.

Communications: I will learn to listen well, to God, to the Holy Spirit, to the Word and to the knowledge and experience of others. I will learn to listen carefully with discernment, sincerity and empathy. I will work constantly to improve my ability to clearly articulate ideas verbally and in writing.

Knowledge: I will commit to constant learning, about myself, about God's will for my life, and about the skills and knowledge the Lord expects me to master for his service. I will pray constantly to seek a deeper understanding of how and when to apply my knowledge. I will seek out and acknowledge wise counsel in all areas where my knowledge and experience is limited.

Service: I will serve as an informal pastor of those in my universe of influence including but not limited to, fellow workers, employers, employees, vendors, customers, industry peers, regulators and public officials. I will pray for their personal needs. I will exhibit Christ's love in my actions, words and deeds toward them.

Planning: I will prepare myself spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially to manage all my resources and God given abilities for the honor and glory of God. I will seek wisdom and guidance. I will embrace the discipline of planning. I will carefully consider all the spiritual, mental, emotional and financial costs of owning and operating a business.

Profitability: I will plan, establish and maintain a profitable venture that meets all its obligations and honors God with its stewardship. I will fairly and appropriately reward those who contribute to the growth and profitability of our business. I will tithe from my earnings and give my time and financial resources as lead by the Holy Spirit.
